Arson A Possibility

In Car Fire. Township police are listing as possible arson a fire which last week extensively damaged a car parked at Larini’s Service Station, 272 Alexander Street.

A foot-long piece of rubber hose was found at the scene and the gas cap of the 1972 Datsun was missing. Police report the car is owned by John T. Welch of Jacksonville, Fla.

According to police, the car had been last checked about a week ago. It is not known what caused it to catch on fire last week, bringing firemen to the scene.

Capt. John Petrone reported that the car was “completely damaged.”
