CAR HITS PEDESTRIAN

Driver Possibly Unaware. An 18-year-old Hightstown resident was struck Saturday noon by a car as she attempted to cross Nassau Street near St. Paul’s Church.

Ptl. Joseph Wilhelm, who investigated, noted in his report that the driver, who did not stop, may not have been aware of striking anyone because of the number of small bumps in the roadway.

Taken by the Princeton First Aid Squad for treatment of contusions and abrasions of her left hand and thigh was the victim, Staci A. Lacy. She was later released.

She told the police that she was standing in the crosswalk on the edge of the street when she was struck by the rear fender or bumper of a passing car. The impact knocked her to the roadway. Police said that neither the victim nor a witness was able to get the license number of the car.

Car Overturns in PSC.

A driver and his passenger were injured last week when their car skidded on an icy section in the Princeton Shopping Center, went out of control and overturned

The driver, Antonio DiMeglio, 18, 233 Dead Tree Road, Belle Mead, sustained contusions and abrasions of the head; his 16-year-old passenger, Susan Daniello, 80 Willow Road. Belle Mead, complained of pain to her face. Both were treated at Princeton Medical Center.

Ptl. Robert Buchanan noted, in investigating the 9:28 p.m. mishap, that an icy condition existed in the northern section of the shopping center due to the runoff of water from an adjacent, vacant wooded lot down an incline onto the surface of the parking lot.
