Allen’s family thanks volunteers

To the editor:

On Monday, Dec. 1, at 9:07 a.m., a fire broke out in the basement of Allen’s Children’s Shop. Thanks to the quick response of the volunteer fire companies, what could have been a devastating situation was resolved in a matter of minutes.

I would like to give my sincere appreciation to these volunteers for cautiously and swiftly terminating the fire. Fred Abelson and family Allen’s Children’s Shop Nassau Street.
