Bush Fire Controlled At Community Park

Engine Company No. 1 and police responded to a brush fire at Community Park North on March 19. A 100- by 40-foot area was burning and was watered down by firefighters.

A car fire on Dodds Lane was extinguished by the time that the police and fire department responded to a call on Saturday afternoon. The engine of a 1974 Mercedes belonging to a Philadelphia resident was damaged by flames and smoke under the hood.
