Cooking Fire Aftermath A Sideorder of Smoke

One tire truck and ten firemen responded to a cooking fire Friday afternoon at a Poe Road home. Police report that the occupant had been cooking on the stove and left for a time. When she returned, she discovered the food had burned and the house was filled with smoke. Firemen, responding to a 4:37 call, used exhaust fans to clear the interior of smoke.
