A fire alarm in a Montadale Circle home drew firefighters’ attention to a small fire on the second floor on March 3 at 8:55 p.m. The owners were not at home. A lamp in a bedroom had tipped over, causing a shirt and the rug to smoulder, said police. As the house filled with smoke, the fire alarm kicked in. Firefighters at the scene smothered the flames and vented the home of smoke.
