John Chasko, 79, of Fisher Avenue, died July 7 at Princeton Medical Center. Born in Trenton, Mr. Chasko had lived in Princeton since 1936. He was a police officer retired from the Princeton Borough Police Department. He was a longtime member of the Princeton United Methodist Church and former volunteer  fireman with the Princeton Hook & Ladder Company.

Mr. Chasko was a frequent blood donor at Princeton Medical Center in  emergency situations.

Husband of the late Evelyn Cray Chasko, he is survived by two sons, Neil Chasko of . Hightstown and Lynn Chasko of Princeton; two sisters, Susan Reck of Essex Fells and Marge Yager of Portland, Ore.; and three grandchildren.
