Fourth of July Fire Set In Shopping Center Lot
A dumpster near the recycling shed in the rear of Princeton Shopping Center was set on fire in the early morning of July 4.
Township police responded to a 12:57a.m. call and arrived to find that the dumpster, which is used for cardboard recyclables, was fully engulfed in flames.
Two engines from the Princeton Fire Department responded, and were able to extinguish the blaze. The fire was contained to the dumpster.
The cause of the fire is unknown, said police, but it may be connected to a rash of dumpster fires that have been plaguing Princeton Borough.
