Bird the only loser
Princeton fireman Ken Rendell reaches down to douse fire behind the wall at Drumthwacket. Blaze started as bird’s nest in wall was set afire by workmen using heat to remove old paint. The nest dropped down behind the building’s inner and outer walls. The mishap created a temporary panic that brought Princeton firemen racing to the scene. The building escaped damage, but the bird was left homeless. (Stuart Crump photo).
