CAR, CYCLE COLLIDE
On Terhune Road. A motorcycle and a car collided at noon Saturday, on Terhune Road at the entrance to the Italian American Sportsmen Club.
James B. Heiry. 46, of Spotswood, told Ptl. Mark Emann that he was attempting to turn left into the IASC driveway and did not see the cyclist until after impact. The cyclist, 22-year-old Peter D. Nutter, 54 Van Dyke Road, told the officer that he saw the car’s left turn signal but was unable to avoid a collision. He told Ptl. Emann that he was traveling 40 to 45 miles an hour at the time.
Mr. Nutter was taken to Princeton Medical Center for treatment of contusions and abrasions of the leg. He was issued a summons for speeding. Mr. Heiry was ticketed for failure to yield the right of way.
