Car Fire Traced to Refueling

When Albert Drueding, 28, of 121 Lewisville Road, Lawrenceville ran out of gas Monday on Mercer Road near Olden Lane, he soon was faced with a more serious problem.

According to police, after refueling, Mr. Drueding tried to start his car and the engine compartment burst into flames. Extinguished by police, the 4:30 fire was confined to the car’s carburetor and air cleaner.
