Firemen Kick In Door To Reach Smoking Pot

A resident of Herrontown Road last Wednesday morning left a pot containing wax and water on her stove, forgot to turn off the stove, and left the house.

Firemen responding to an alarm could not get in and had to kick in the front door. According to police, there was a heavy smoke condition in the kitchen but the only damage was to the front door.
