FORMER HURRICANE David, reduced in intensity to a storm, passed mostly to the west of Princeton, but it apparently generated tornado-like winds that raked across Princeton Borough, bringing down many aged trees. This one blocks Nassau Street in front of the Garden Theater.
David storms into Princeton
Princeton’s trees were brought down in large numbers by Storm David’s Thursday morning onslaught. Borough police Sgt Ralph Procaccine is framed by the branches of a tree that crashed across Nassau Street in front of the arden Theater, completely blocking the street. See story, page 3A.
