New Chief Term / Fire Department Names Two New Volunteers

New Fire Chief 

Richard McKee, a 16-year veteran of the Princeton Volunteer Fire Department, has been elected to a ane-year term as fire chief. He will be sworn in at Borough Hall on New Year’s Day.

A long-time Borough resident and graduate of Princeton High School, Mr. McKee lives in Hamilton Avenue. He is employed by Princeton University as assistant manager of Rockefeller Mathey Dining Hall. He is a member of Engine Company No. l on Chestnut Street

Mark Freda, a Borough Councilman and fire commissioner, was elected first assistant chief. New second assistant chief is Eric Karsh


Fire Department Names Two New Volunteers

Borough Council has officially approved the addition of two new fire fighters to the Princeton Volunteer Fire Department. They are David Goldfarb, of Charlton Street, and Frank Wiley, a resident of Jonathan Court in Kingston.

Borough Fire Commissioner Mark Freda said the Department was still seeking additional members. “We want to build up the number of active members,” he said, “and would like to find another 15 or 20 people.”
