Parked Car Gutted

 By Fire. A 1977 Ford was destroyed last week after it caught fire while parked in the pool lot at Community Park.

By the time Township police next door could arrive, the car, owned by Donald V. Shipley, 290 Snowden Lane, was engulfed in flames. The interior of the car was totally gutted by the fire, police said. The cause has not been determined.

Capt. John Petrone reported that heat from the fire was so intense that another car parked in front and a third car parked along the side were singed and suffered minor damage.
