Rescue crew is needed
EDITOR’S NOTE: The following letter was sent to the mayor of Princeton Borough and members of the Borough Council. It was supplied by its authors.
Dear Mayor and Council:
The Princeton Borough Merchants Association deplores the fact that Mayor and Council have not fulfilled their entire obligation to the Day Crew program of the Princeton First Aid and Rescue Squad, whereas the Princeton Township Committee has.
Since the Borough Merchants are always in the forefront in providing support for just about everything that comes along, we do not feel constrained in indicating our concern at the possibility of the phasing out of one of the most vital services in our community.
We sincerely believe that the original recommendation unanimously made by the Joint Committee in 1979, namely that the municipalities provide the salaries for the daytime program, be not only followed but continued on a permanent basis.
